Haines to Skagway then on to Teslin Yukon

The next morning we had breakfast at another bakery. -Chillkoot Bakery. Great bakery and restaurant.  The owner actually was there talking to us and stopped by our table.  After sampling breakfast we wish we had eaten dinner their last evening.   We then went to pick up our tickets for the ferry.  We were very early and had to wait as their was not much to do.

We got our car on the ferry and road down to Skagway.  I must say the most interesting part of that trip was watching the big campers/motor homes back themselves on to the ferry.  Drove a bit around Skagway and realized it hadn't change much so off again we go.

We drove the Kondike highway up out of Skagway which follows the whit pass train tracks.  Beautiful.  Even saw the train headed back down to Skagway.  Island princess was in town.

Our next stop was a small town just north of Skagway called Carcross. A very small town but one that seemed to be doing a lot to pay tribute to the First Nations people.

Then we were off to Teslin Yukon.  There are so few places to stay in this area (usually one per little town).  It was called Yukon Motel.  A combination truck stop, restaurants. Gift shop, gas, and a small museum.  It was fairly nice.
