Left Halifax at 5 and had a sea day on our way to Newfoundland and l’anse Meadows. Tender will be the way to get ashore, so I will stay on board. It’s very cool and cloudy. L'Anse Aux Meadows if located on the northernmost top of Canada's Newfoundland It is the site of the first Norse settlement in the America's. Leif Eriksson's voyage here was in the late 10th century and predated Columbus by 500 years. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The dwelling that are here are reconstructed or mark the way of life here when the settlers were living here in tis small fishing village
