Today we arrived very early to the sound of the anchor dropping and then the sound of the wrenches dropping the tenders. So not the most peaceful morning we have had. This city is very small and boasts being a trading center since the 16th century. There is a heritage museum here that celebrates its commercial roots. It is situated in the oldest warehouse in Iceland. The town sits in the shadows of Mount Bulandstindur! A pyramid shaped mountain fsmes in folklore as the “wishing mountain”. We have sunshine today for the first time in days and no rain.
